About Erin

She enjoys long walks, swimming in the sea and sleeping late.

Does this leave much creative time? No it does not.

Truth is - she’s a slacker. And if you hit the ‘contact us’ button, you should allow 10-15 business days for a response. Minimum.

But does she love what she does? Yes, very much. And she has been working at it a very long time.

Her work is informed by a background in illustration. She has developed a unique way of working with ink and charcoal on paper or specially treated canvas that allows a slow building up of layers to create rich interplays of colour. Pulling layers back and building them up again. It takes patience and many months to create her landscapes using this technique.

To counter-balance this gestational method Erin practices studio life-drawing with only a few minutes to capture a figure and create a sketch. While these sketches are sometime later developed in more complex works, the sketches themselves express the malleable nature of the human form.

Both landscapes and figure drawing are posted in these pages.

Thank you, and enjoy.
